Plain Wrap Ride
For those of us old enough to remember, grocery and convenience stores in the 80’s used to carry generic staples like, plates, sporks, paper plates, even beer in plain wrapped packaging at value pricing. The Plain Wrap Ride is a basic charity fun ride with all the essentials (route sheets, turn arrows, rest stops, support vehicles) minus the frills that make for expensive registration fees.

This year’s ride will have 62, 40 and 23 mile routes starting and finishing in downtown Redlands at the Redlands at Bicycle Classic's Start/Finish line on Saturday, April 13th starting at 8:00 A.M. The route will have one major rest stop plus an additional water stop for the metric century route.

Joshua Tree 55
The annual Joshua Tree 55 Bike Ride is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. It’s a beautiful scenic ride that starts at Knott’s Sky Park and travels up to Keys View in Joshua Tree National Park. In 2023, 400 cyclists took part in the ride from all over the country.
The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is excited to continue their partnership with Joshua Tree National Park to provide one of the best cycling experiences in Southern California. In order to continue offering a quality ride for cyclists to enjoy and participate in, it has been decided to postpone the annual ride to Saturday, February 1, 2025. During this next planning period, the Parks & Recreation Department will be working closely with Joshua Tree National Park staff and their volunteers to organize a memorable ride for all come 2025.
The Parks & Recreation Department appreciates everyone’s support of the Joshua Tree 55 Bike Ride and hope to see everyone back in 2025! Registration will begin in September 2024.
